Marcus DeLoach to join cast of FELLOW TRAVELERS with Lyric Opera of Chicago

  Lyric Opera of Chicago announces the Chicago premiere of FELLOW TRAVELERS which was praised as “a near-perfect example of fast-flowing musical drama” by The New York Times in its 2016 world premiere. Baritone Marcus DeLoach reprises the roles of Senator McCarthy, Estonian Frank and the Interrogator which he created at Cincinnati Opera. Performances take place March 2018.

Mezzo-soprano KATHERINE PRACHT debuts title role in ELIZABETH CREE with Chicago Opera Theater

Chicago Opera Theater announces the company premiere of  ELIZABETH CREE, a Victorian London thriller based on the novel “The Trial of Elizabeth Cree” by Peter Ackroyd. A co-production with Opera Philadelphia and London’s Hackney Empire, Mezzo-soprano KATHERINE PRACHT takes on the title role of Elizabeth in February 2018.

Busy baritone ALEXANDER ELLIOTT makes a company and role debut as Sonora in Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST with NYCO in September 2017, and immediately heads to Annapolis Opera to sing the role of John Brooke in Mark Adamo’s LITTLE WOMEN.
